To be honest, I wouldnt bother with waist waders. They have a tendency to slip quite a bit off your waist. You can always tie a pair of chest waders at the waist. Wink

I have the speedrunner for salmon fishing. Looks superb and winds in really quickly, but the frame of the reel is very thin and brittle. I wouldnt rate its chances if it was dropped..

Roy have you tried the Sshoot range of lines?
I know they dont sell an 8# but I have found that their lines are over weighted due to the heavy longer head. Can be picked up cheap enough also.
