Spring has certainly arrived in t’north (tho’ some soft, cloudy, fishing-friendly weather would be welcome) and with just four weeks to go until the second fishing festival starts, here’s a reminder. Our waterside ‘masterclass’ events in particular have been booking up well. The Festival website is at www.cumbriafishingfestival.co.uk
But if a fishing festival isn’t your thing, or you can’t make the festival dates, you might want to consider a bit of guided fishing in the county with some of Cumbria’s experienced guides/instructors. In no particular order you might wish to consider a day or more with some of the following;
Jeremy Lucas (APGAI), Paul Procter (AAPGAI), Glyn Freeman (AAPGAI), Clive Mitchelhill (AAPGAI), Lee Cummings (AAPGAI), Stuart Broadhurst (STANIC), Patrick Arnold, Chris Bowman (PAA), Eric Hope (GAIC), Geoff Johnson (AAPGAI), Bob & Vera Carlson (GAIC), Ian Riddell (GAIC), Paul Little (AAPGAI), Tony Riley (AAPGAI).
Their contact details can be found here http://www.lakedistrictfishing.net/component/option,com_mtree/Itemid,10/cat_id,42/task,listcats/ _________________ http://www.siestacorktiles.co.uk/maniform.htm

Hi davestocker, I recently fished Wych Elm whilst staying in a bungalow overlooking the fishery. I have to say, that I loved the place, good rainbows and screaming blues. They'll test your tackle and your leader. Highly recommended. Located in the village of Hulme near Lancaster and just off the M6.
The web site is lakesandcaravans.co.uk run by Ken and Jean Gill
