It's a sort of parchment affair, rolled up and sealed with wax.

Doesn't surprise me!
And don't tell me the cheque number is in the low teens and it is drawn on a Bank like Adams, Coutts or Child &Co!
Could be worth a fortune to someone from the British Cheques Collectors Society.

Nothing so grand I'm afraid. It's one of the shabbier banks that the rest of us are forced to use although it does have columns for £. s. d.
