Not at all Noob, ask away.
Those are mostly semi threadless buzzers. The body is just a lime green flexi floss on a black hook. You stretch the living day lights out of the floss at the bend of the hook and catch it on the same way you initially wrap your tying thread on. I then use thread for the thorax.
The black buzzer on kam hooks have a black thread base layer then light olive flexi over.
If you need more info let me know.

Many thanks, Mark. Much appreciated and I'll let you know how I get on with them next season at the Barrows! |

I'd like to echo what both Dave & Mark are saying. _________________ Hi there, I have around 40 yrs exp. of tying flies, incl. some semi-pro work. I've taught at adult evening classes, written for and supplied photos for most U.K. fly magazines. Given talks/slide shows/lectures/demonstrations etc. Am founder and life pres. of local Fly Dressers Guild (27years), our members have won more prizes for tying than any other similar club, we've also won several national flyfishing comps. I look forward to both learning from and contributing to this highly respected forum. |

Well thats another year over!
I didn't get out as much as I would have wished in 2014 although I did manage the occasional lump or two like this 6-3 rainbow with Dave (BristolFlyer) in April ....
Hope you all had a great Christmas and wishing everyone tight lines in 2015.

Happy new year all.
It was a tough year for me on the fishing front what with work and weather.
See you in 2015 on a bank or boat.

Happy and prosperous New Year to all.
What a lovely fish Alan - the thought of catching that will sustain you through the Winter nights.
Cheers
