Float tube?

Many, many years ago they trialed float tubing on the Tanks. However I believe it was discontinued due to safety concerns as there are no permanent staff on site. Blagdon is BFTA pre-arranged competitions only.

Here is a list of venues that allow float tubing including some I wasn't aware of in the SW. However none are less than a 130 mile round trip which rules it out for me, not to mention the occasional bout of cramp! Shock Laughing

Hi Alan
BFTA membership is only £10 and worthwhile particularly in SW waters where members only are allowed.

It's a pity BW don't allow float tubing. I'll bet the tanks would fish totally different in the summer if you could use a float tube to access all areas. We notice the difference on club waters around us which were previously poor from the bank but when you can tube they fish well all year round.

You should still get yourself a tube which you can use at socials and any trips up north (or far SW).

You won't look back.
