Not sure if this Should be under flytying.
I watched this on YouTube, is it a trout fly ? Or a predator spoon ?
No doubt it would be a challenge to cast on a fly rod and to light for spinning gear.
Any thoughts.

I sent them a message/question and the answer is.
It is used for trout and Large Mouth Bass and cast well with a fly rod.
That bent hook eye looks to me like it would give a poor hook up ratio.

While it's interesting to watch, it seems too complicated for what it offers. Maybe a newbie like me can't understand this though. haha
