This is nothing new, but it is worth flagging up from time to time that craft stores can be a good source of fly tying materials. I came across these 'Marabou Boas' in the craft section of Trago Mills in Falmouth.....
They are 5 foot long and consist of plenty of the short fluffy feathers that I like to tie with. Although sometimes the dye in materials like this are not colour fast, these seem OK and for just £0.89 pence each I thought they were worth a punt.
I've tied a few flies with it already and if the colours don't fade after a few swims then I won't have to buy any black or white marabou for a very long time!
