I’m tying up various boobys at the moment for the start of the season, now a few years back I was chatting to a Bristol water regular and he tied them with lead in to help with turnover and to make them sit in the water a little better( when fishing the washing line)Now most of the time I find they turn over ok but when there’s little wind about I think it would help. Has anyone tried tying boobys with added weight? |

I've not tried that but i can see the logic. With a bit of lead to counteract the foam you would end up with a neutral density booby that sinks really slowly and could be very attractive on its day.
Definitely worth adding to the armoury. |
