It seems the squirmy worm flies are getting a lot of use in rivers and lakes.
I have read about competition fishers using them to get bonus fish on a hard fished river and the same on the still water competitions.
I have never tied them up or fished them but have ordered some of the wormy stuff to give it a try, it will also maybe work on the dropshot kit.
There is a lot of stuff on YouTube but I was wondering what others do, two tails or one, slim or thick. on the river it seems to be jig hooks and beads.
All very confusing, any pointers from those using them.

Be careful Peter some of the squirmy materials used tends to decompose and becomes useless even if not used.Varnish in the tying is evidently another no no. Suggest have a look at the chewing gum worm materials.Looks like could be brilliant for drop shot and other dubious devious applications .From what I gather squirmies are best stored separately and at a cool temperature.Shame they ever changed the old oval rubber bands. The old Arthur Cove Red Diddy was a deadly bloodworm pattern never bettered in my humble opinion.Yet to see how the chewing gum worms perform.Actually bought some for the mullet but will try them on the river/reservoir.
