Hope this might be of interest to some of the forumites who I know from fishing Chew, Blaggers and the Barrows over the years. I'm a regular contributor to Fly Culture and Fallon’s Angler, and have also written for Flyfish Journal and Trout & Salmon. I've just published my first book which contains a couple of stories about the Barrows - Of Mousers and Men and Barrows 101. They're about the infamous Mousers and the unwritten rules for fishing an evening rise, respectively.

It's available to buy at Amazon and here's some of the nice things people have said about the book so far:

"The freshest, funniest fly fishing writer we have read in a long time... Fish Camp Fail is a must read." - The Mission Fly Mag

"Fish Camp Fail is a fast-paced, light-hearted book that will bring a smile to your face by offering a new take on wild fishing. Ben Jailler should be commended for writing something that is original, funny and thoroughly enjoyable." - Fallon's Angler

"The prose is delivered with the speed and accuracy of a machine gun being unleashed by John Cooper-Clarke. It is well observed and crafted with a skill that is peppered with humour - the sort that will make you laugh out loud." - Fly Culture Magazine

"This collection of stories is everything your typical fly fishing book is not. Irreverent, funny and occasionally unrepeatable in polite print, it’s a warts and all type confessional with a difference." - Dom Garnett

Thanks for taking the time to check out this post and hope to see you on the bank soon!

Congratulations on your first book, Ben. I recall reading about the Mousers on the Tanks and thoroughly enjoyed it. If that article is representative of the book then you are on to a winner. Very Happy

Alan
