One from the vice of top American fly tyer Glen Mickleson.

Tied to represent the Bay Anchovy which appear in their millions along the East end of Long Island in early September, and which draw the Striped Bass and False Albacore inshore to feast off of these bait balls which at times can be seen as a great brown mass stretching for hundreds of yards.

Hook: Mustad C70SD, Tiemco 811s, Gamakatsu SL11-3H or similar Size 4-6-8
Thread: White 8/0
Body: Silver Bills Body Braid wrapped with Pearl Flashabou
Wing: Tan or Root Beer Bucktail, over White Bucktail, with a couple of strands of Silver and Copper Krystal Flash
Head: White tying thread, witha few dabs of brown marker pen on top, wetted, and blended down the side to form two tone effect of the brown fading into white
Eyes: Silver Prism stick on
Gills: Red Marker Pen
Finish: Tuffleye or Epoxy over head and all body materials to a point adjacent to the end of hook.

Finished fly should be between 1.5" to 3" max in length.
