|
|
Hi All
I have been meaning to do this for some time, and I figured it's a good time now. The links below are to a couple of videos of Teeny Nymphs being tied by their creator, Jim Teeny. The first video is the basic Teeny Nymph, the second is the double body nymph.
For anyone unfamiliar with the Teeny Nymph, they are astonishingly effective, rather like the Sawyer's PTN and as they consist of the hook, thread, cock pheasant tail fibres and nothing else you don't really get upset if they get stolen by a tree, rock etc.
Hopefully these videos will help with any boredom over the next couple of days Enjoy !
Happy Christmas
Russ
EDIT
Apologies for the delay, but I deleted the compressed files after posting and after two house moves I thought I would never find the DVD again, but earlier today .......
I have:
1. re-compressed the files
2. kept them as .avi so that they will play on pretty-much anything
3. uploaded them to a better file sharing site
4. edited the links for the files above
Apologies for the size of the files, even after compression; before compression they were > 100mb each. If they are still too much for your internet link then they are on YouTube (not my post) at much reduced quality, and much smaller.
As before, please enjoy.

Hello Russ,
Many thanks for posting that, much appreciated.
1st fly I attempted myself.
Hello Chris,
I think I remember hearing or reading the same thing.
And, something to do with it getting tied with a slip of paper in the dressing signifying an authentic fly. _________________ I have finite time and mental capacity, negative people 'kin "cough". |

Chris, I don't know about 'the only fly' but this one was. And as noted above, if you only could use 'one fly' this would be high on your list for trout fishing.

Jim Teeny registered the name such that only he could market the fly,see trout fisherman jan 2010 for step by step of this fly. |

I believe that the Dog Nobbler was copyrighted/trade marked by Sid Knight but like all things, you change it a tiny bit and give it a new name!
