Invicta, the top cape on your list is a silver badger variant i.e. not 100% purebred. _________________ Hi there, I have around 40 yrs exp. of tying flies, incl. some semi-pro work. I've taught at adult evening classes, written for and supplied photos for most U.K. fly magazines. Given talks/slide shows/lectures/demonstrations etc. Am founder and life pres. of local Fly Dressers Guild (27years), our members have won more prizes for tying than any other similar club, we've also won several national flyfishing comps. I look forward to both learning from and contributing to this highly respected forum. |

WCB, I am only a beginner at this tying bit but to my eyes your pics of,
Artifly Badger dyed Fiery Brown #2 and the Metz Silver Badger #3 are the same thing.
Sorry if I have that wrong.

That I already know, but when you are recovering from a bypass op what else is there to do.
Another month or two off work yet then back to the real world.

And rather lovely they all are.
However, head in to your local tackle shop looking - for example - a brown cape. You'll find a rack of perhaps a dozen of them hanging there. You look through them to get just the right one. That's a very light difference from the rest. You prefer it to the others. Do you think it matters one bugger to the trout?
You've been hooked. _________________ The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers. |
