Had a look at the scooter I fancied and took it out for a ride

I certainly put it through it on a worst bit of pavement for miles and across the park opposite our road
I was real pleased with the way it handled everything and also real happy that it don't look like a mobility scooter Cool
It didn't really look as if I was a disabled chappie trying to get somewhere, it looked a bloke going out for a bit of a ride Laughing

After a long chat with the engineer they assured me that I should have no problems getting anywhere on the large side of Pitsford
A m8 ran me over to Pitsford Creek to see about access and I should have no problem at all
From the creek I have direct access to the south side and a quick trip over the dam wall and round the sailing club gives me access to the rest

I hope to get the scooter in a week or just over
I just then need to get very confident on it then it's away

Cannot wait Neutral

I will keep you updated

Mick

They'll think Dennis Hopper's arrived Mick. Like you say, those things don't look much like mobility scooters nowadays do they? Best of luck at Pitsford! Cool

Hi Mick

You may be interested to read a bit about Graham Sinclair a guy here who
faced a situation similar to your own, nevertheless like yourself rose above
the situation though positive thinking & striving to always make the most of
any circumstances that come along.

Mick .... You have have gained the respect of the members here through your
attitude & I for one would hope I would be able to summon the fortitude to follow
your example if ever faced with anything similar.

Go for it mate & continue to make the most of any opportunity.

Cheers Barry
