Sounds like the buses. Nothing for ages then 5 all at once! You sure you were fishing the Wye and not the Kola Peninsula? Laughing

Really looking forward to the pics now. Cool

Not the Wye I would wager but more likely to be somewhere from the land of the Guinness or if extremely lucky the Thurso which has probably out-fished the mighty Ponoi in Russia these past few weeks.

Really looking forward to seeing the pictures - the first salmon will give Dave memories to last a lifetime Very Happy Very Happy

Doug is right - Blackwater in Ireland for three days. Fished long and hard so no time for Guinness. Very Happy

It is still sinking in. I feel a little like the 40 year old virgin that finally loses it to Rachel Riley, and her sister. Laughing

Had a pull on day one, had a fresh grilse on day two all on my own on a very secluded beat, and then had five yesterday including a couple of bigger fish. All fish on the same little home-tied fly - a sort of Cascade.

I also managed to catch a flounder on fly, and a couple of inquisitive mink that really liked my salmon-smelling landing net!
