What a beautiful Rainbow Alan - I also like the Brown with his aggressive Autumn look.

Thanks for posting.

Cheers

Sorry for the late update. Blank for me yesterday despite a good walk round.
The two chaps fishing the corner of three when I came back over from 2 last thing had a stock fish each as a pod came by but that was it.
Nice to get out on the bank as see you chaps. Hope I have better luck Friday on the grayling.

How many fish were caught in total? It looks like some nice fish were caught and the water looked nice and clear and at top level. Hopefully if we get some settled weather I might be able to get a few sessions in before the main season opens.

I think only two came to the net but both were quality fish. The water level was lower than the last time I fished on number 3 as it was possible to fish off the ramp to the left of stocky corner. No sign of the stockies that went in a week or two ago.

Only four fish I know of. The two quality fish that Alan and Ben caught. Then the two fresh stockies late in the day on the corner by the steps on three. Four fish to 10 or so rods.

Nor me, Tim. Sad I fished 3 times in December for 2 pulls and 1 fish although the fish was a cracker when it came. Smile

This is the first time the Tanks have been open all winter so perhaps they are waiting to see how many resident fish show up in order to inform their winter stocking policy in future? My thoughts would be to keep just one Tank open all year and stock it properly if they want to generate extra day ticket trade during the winter months, rather than share a few fish across all three but I'm sure they will have a business plan in place! Smile

Happy New Year and 'tight lines' in 2016! Cool

Maybe it's to cold/windy for them or perhaps they've filled their freezers ?

So they still fish the tanks, did the rule change of holding the rod have any effect?
I am ashamed to say I tried it at Farmoor when it was tea making time and it works there as well.
A friend uses a white mouse as an indicator but is plagued by gulls trying to take it of the water surface, it's very entertaining when the fish are not biting Very Happy
