|
|
hi guys just after some advice, my partner is looking to take me away for 4 days in june 11th to 14th, looking at staying at exmoor gate lodges, the river tone runs along side of it,
Is this part of the river trout fishing, is it a free stretch etc.
she has also said i can have a days guiding as a treat up that way, i fancy flyfishing for wild browns or pike if allowed (not sure how your closed river season is open on 15th)
Any advice appreciated |

Best check up with the Taunton Angling Association. Being a river may be subject to coarse fishing rules and not open for fishing until the 15th.

I think there is an Orvis guide who operates in that area, a friend who holidays there mentioned hiring one.
Have a good Birthday break.

An alternative is the West Country Passport system, Weston’s is a 15 minutes drive; week Bridge and the Upper Culm are also available but a bit further.

There’s plenty of guides, I’ve fished with Pete Tyjas in the past, who is superb. Perhaps a day with him on Dartmoor?
