Hello boys and girls,

After a few years away from the sport, I've decided to have another crack at it, health permitting. I'm nowhere near as agile as I was, but I'll be doing my best to tighten my line.

Regards,

Richard

Another welcome and echo fossi-fish's comments re reporting your fishing ventures. If you have been "resting" for a long period you may well find things have moved on tackle wise. You will find this forum willingly offers up help and guidance. Smile

And thank you for the welcome...it was more than a case of resting that took me away from the hobby, last time I went fishing back in ...2009, I think it was, I suffered a massive heart attack on the Admiralty Pier in Dover whilst fishing with Yatesy. It's a long story, but you may recall seeing the article in Sea Angler magazine...it sort of put me off fishing mentally for a long while.

Anyways, enough of that...I thought it was about time I wet a line again, so I've bought a few new bits and bobs, and hopefully going to get out there this coming weekend.

Hi Again,

Welcome back.

I remember the reports of what happened to you back in 2009, and I remember your old forum name. Smile

Still wearing the sunglasses I hope. Cool

All the best for now.

B.

I'd forgotten that I had an account here when I signed up again...yes, the old "sweeper driver" lives on. Gone all posh now, I have Reactolite lenses in my new glasses, no more shades for me...

Glad to see you survived Richard. It's always a bit worrying when one of our number disappears so suddenly like that! Cool

It sort of put me off fishing for a while, Rich...every time I had a slight twinge anywhere I was thinking "heart attack"...not fun!

But, so far, so good...my valves have been in for ten years now, and all four seem to firing in the correct order, so no complaints there.
