A post, taken from fbk. by Charles Jardine, who fished Chew yesterday eith Jeff Mason.
A fabulous session with a dear and completely excellent fly fisher and supreme flytier Jeff Mason on Chew yesterday.
far more surface activity than might have been expected - and feeding feisty fish they were too....
Also a timely reminder of how deadly small flies, fine tippets and lighweight rods can be on a large expanse of water like Chew. Thanks for the “heads-up†Gareth Jones!
This one is for cooking..... just a magnificent creature worthy of celebration- and we are talking about the trout here😂! _________________ Hi there, I have around 40 yrs exp. of tying flies, incl. some semi-pro work. I've taught at adult evening classes, written for and supplied photos for most U.K. fly magazines. Given talks/slide shows/lectures/demonstrations etc. Am founder and life pres. of local Fly Dressers Guild (27years), our members have won more prizes for tying than any other similar club, we've also won several national flyfishing comps. I look forward to both learning from and contributing to this highly respected forum. |
