I have been using Maylar tubing on some lures as I bought a job lot of materials off Ebay and various packets were included. I had the thought of inserting foam in the tube it may produce a buoyant fly.
After some fiddling and thought I arrived at the attach, I will give it a try next time I am out and see how it behaves.
It is definitely a MK1 and will probably need some more thought and fiddling, but I am happy with the overall shape and dimensions.
What do you think?

Despite not catching anything on this today I was pleased with the way it worked. There is not much in the way of buoyant foam in the body but it stayed afloat well with the DI7 and a leader of around six feet. My guess is it would be a good point fly on a DI5 or 3 fishing lures in a washing line style.
Time and fish will tell.
Very Happy
