First trip here.
Very cold-max 5c midday.Damsel on a very slow retreive produced a lost fish first chuck ,then another .Loads of fast takes and taps before first fish took hold. Two more followed very quickly, one of which spent 90% of the fight out of the water .Had a break of an hour.More takes followed, some on the drop then another fish.
Took another break, got another release ticket-had four or five pulls and it all died on me
Mate had four, again with lots of takes and a couple of lost fish.
Excellent day, fish on the small side-but hey,who cares.
Thanks for the info Cerebus. |

Excellent news, I'm really glad you had a good day out, I did wonder how you'd got on
I'm off to Chalk Springs for the first time tomorrow, let's see what that holds in store for me. I've just tied up a few bugs for the occasion, here's hoping
Cheers

I'm hopefully going to give it a go between Christmas and New Year with Starsky and maybe a couple of others so am pleased to hear of your positive feedback.

Chris.Fish were obviously shoaled fairly tight.Only one other guy fishing and he did catch by moving about. However we couldn't buy a bite, except for three platforms all along the near bank.I had an amazing amount of takes that were unhitable-but much better have that than bashing away without a sniff. |
