David Hi, I stayed there for 2 weeks, I suffered so badly from the lack of fishing rod that I was trying with dental floss, just catching up from returning from my trip to mozambique but when you going? - i can give you stax of advice if you like - let me tell you catching fish will not be difficult - AT ALL!!! snorkling I could reach out and touch the barracuda - trevelly all over the place all be it smaller ones.
Probably the coolest islands in the world !!! Not sure of medana - is it on Gilli air, meno or Trawangan? You can island hop very easily but just give a local with a boat a few quid and he'll act as your skipper between and around islands. Try not be holding your expensive fly gear when asking prices as he'll try it on for sure. Just pretend to be an excited tourist who likes to cruise around on the boat all day and maybe he could take you to a few spots to fish, if you know what i mean. Jeez I'm green! _________________ Mark Yelland on fishing for Trevally compared to a boxing match: “The moment the bell goes you want to get the first punch in, that’s the only way you’re going to win”.
